  • R. Valade "blackdog 1920" - Works wellI recently became a Mac user. I tried and tried to et used to Pages, but it is really limited. I broke down and bought this product and have never regretted it. I work on it and never even think about it. It is a natural interface with Word users. Really grateful I bought it. Well worth the cost for my use.
  • Nightingale - Worth the price, pleasantly surprised - update added 02/17/2013You will notice that this review is not an "Amazon Verified Purchase" -- I bought it from the MYPillow web-site because, as others have noted, there are plenty of coupons available to take 25% off. I also got a $10 discount buying 2 pillows on the same order and those offers aren't available through amazon.com .

I decided to try it based on the 60 day warranty -- not much to lose, I figured. I have problems with my neck and have ongoing battles with my pillows. I've paid a small fortune for pillows and have a small walk-in closet half-filled with tried and discarded pillows -- so what's another pair?

After unpacking the pillows (and watching them miraculously expand) I placed them both in the drier as the instructions suggested. I did notice a slight chemical smell. I had to push my nose into the pillow to smell it, but my nose is going to be right next to that pillow all night long, and I am bothered by smells so this was important to me. After ten minutes in the dryer on medium, I still noticed a little of the smell so I put them in for ten minutes more. A hint of odor remained so I tried it on 'high' - a calculated risk on my part since I was fairly certain that the warranty would be invalid if I burnt them to a crisp. The extra temperature did the trick (and no harm) and I've not noticed any more smell since. The pillows also fluffed up quite a bit more after being put in the dryer. I am very sensitive to chemical smells and have had to put items into the garage for a week or more to out-gas chemicals when they have a strong odor. I was prepared to do that here, but it turned out to be unnecessary .

I bought one blue-level fill, which is recommended for a large man, and a green-level fill which is recommended for a woman, side-sleeper, with relatively wide shoulders. I normally use a pillow with the highest level of support because I need extra support for my neck and, even though I am relatively petite, I have "swimmers-shoulders" (inherited from my maternal grandmother's side of the family.) My husband usually likes a high-to-moderate fill pillow so I reasoned that we could switch them back and forth to see which was more comfortable for each of us -- or return for a re-fill or refund, if needed.

It turned out that I like the blue-level (higher fill) and my husband prefers the green-level (moderate fill for a man his size.) We have been using them for about a week and I've noticed that my husband does not wake himself or me with his snoring as he used to. He seems to sleep soundly through the night -- which is great for me too, since I'm a light sleeper due to pain issues. So far, we like them very much (with the adjustments we made for personal comfort) and we're both sleeping much better. I am no longer awakened periodically throughout the night with neck pain, although my hip pain continues to wake me at 3 am most nights, just in time for a scheduled dose of pain medication -- which I would happily sleep through. I must admit, though, that I have slept through to 7 am a few nights which is not something that has ever happened before. Perhaps the hip pain does not wake me up as early if my neck is comfortable?

Unlike one other reviewer, I was not bothered by any crackling noise in the pillow. When I first put my head on the pillow I listened for it and I could here a slight sound, but not enough to bother me and I have not noticed it since.

My conclusions: If you are obsessive-compulsive about following directions (as I am) and follow the steps to prepare your pillow for use and are willing to work with the company to make adjustments as needed, you will most likely be happy with this pillow. If you are more like my husband and will sleep on whatever is under your head when you fall asleep (and can't believe that a pillow comes with instructions!) you may or may not like this pillow. I'm sure my spouse would not have even gotten as far as ordering this thing so I can't say how he'd like it if I didn't try to "manage" our bedding.

UPDATE 02/17/2013): After almost 9 months of use, I continue to be very pleased with these pillows. After maybe a month or so of use, the pillow does start to mat down a little -- I put it in the dryer for 10 minutes on medium and it is fully "fluffed" and good as new. I have washed the My Pillows several times and they come out clean smelling and completely plumped up. I must add that I have *never* successfully washed any other pillow I've purchased, no matter what I spent on them. In fact, the more expensive pillows I've purchased have fared the worst: coming out of the wash lumpy and misshapen or deflated and not as plump or with the same loft as before.

I'm completely happy with My Pillow and would recommend them to anyone -- with one caveat: pay attention to the information on sizing and be sure to adapt it for your own preferences as to fill-level of the pillow. In my opinion, their web-site over emphasizes the idea that you will not want or need to have a high-loft pillow. In my experience, I have always needed a high loft and have often resorted to multiple pillows to get the height I need. If this is true for you, pay attention to your own instincts and order the higher fill-level.

Also, call the company and ask them to adjust the fill-level on your pillow if it is not to your liking (adding more filling if it isn't high enough or removing some if it is too high.) Once you have run the pillow through the dryer to remove any residual smell (multiple times if need be) and gotten the appropriate fill-level you may find, as I have, that this really is the last pillow you'll ever buy. Good luck!
  • Randi Morse - Easy to Install, Works GreatI completely dislike Norton and find it annoying, so I'm always on the lookout for a good antivirus product that is affordable. This one definitely is. It was very easy to install and so far has protected our computer from a couple of different viruses (my husband has an annoying habit of going to websites that tend to be virus-loaded!). I've only had it a short time but it's definitely a great product from what I've seen!
