  • Jared Stoltzfus - People are ideologically opposed to this game, not actually reviewing itOkay, here's the deal with this game.
    It's not an RTS.
It's not an action game. It's not a whole number of things that many reviewers are claiming it is. Yes some segments of the game are less intricate than a proper RTS. No one's denying that. However, answering the question, "Is this game fun and worth the purchase?" is a different question. For casual video gamers such as myself I think the answer is undoubtedly "Yes." I've always been turned off by the complexity of real time strategy games like Civilization, Warcraft, etc. Spore however, is totally charming and engrossing, and just complex enough for a casual player. Not to mention the creative aspects of the game.
Now, I live with two "hardcore" gamers. They too both love Spore as it turns out. They love it for the creative aspects. When you play Spore, you are creating whole histories and mythologies. It's really quite remarkable. The only people who really seem to think this game is not fun are those who are looking for more of a hardcore game, and are less interested in the creative aspect of Spore.

Also, a note on the "Draconian" DRM. It's not. If you have a legitimate problem with the game then call the publisher and they will help you sort it out. Don't not purchase this game because you're ideologically opposed to DRM. The game registers over the internet, and after that you don't even have to have the CD in to play, which is a great improvement over PC gaming 5 years ago. Yes, you actually have to BUY THE GAME in order to play the game. Don't be angry because you can't get something for free.
  • - A book to keep and pass on.This book offers the very best reference for providing medical care in an environment where medical professionals are not available. It should be required reading for all medical students and certainly should be in the poses ion of anyone interested in emergency preparedness.
  • flosan - REALLY A GREAT PRODUCTOnce I got used to the Kindle Fire HD, I love it. At first I thought, "I don't like this. I like my Kindle e-reader better." But once I started using it, it was great. Only one concern: My battery runs down very fast. Even when I am not using it. Could it be I need a new battery already? Other than that, no problems.
  • Rebecca C. Clark "book yoda" - Good book...only betterWhen I ordered my Kindle, I was a little nervous about whether I would miss the feel of real paper pages, but I have found that I enjoy books on my Kindle just as much as "real books". Having so many books at my fingertips is the best part of owning a Kindle. I can hear about a book, find it, buy it, and start reading it in a flash! Anybody that loves books would love a Kindle.
  • Cbelle - SO PROUD OF THIS ITEM!!!I was skeptical when I bought the TRIA. My doubts were completely squished after using if for two months. I am Italian. My skin is just about as pale as you can get and my hair is DARK and thick. I have been embarrassed by it since I was in elementary school. I started getting laser hair removal at my dermatologist. I couldn't afford having it done on my legs, so I had it done on my face (I know you can't use the TRIA on your face but this is still relevant). One laser treatment (on a tiny area like my face) was 150 dollars! I got it done three times hoping to see some results. Needless to say, the results were sub par at best. I bought the TRIA on QVC just to give it a try. The results are AMAZING. It's been two months and the hair on my legs has thinned out to about half the amount of what it is. I used to have to shave about once every other day, and it would still look miserable thanks to razer burn and ingrown hairs. I can go quite a while without having to shave now. I also decided to laser the hair on my feet. I didn't have much there but I thought I'd do it anyways. Why not, right? It's been two months and the hair on my feet is g-o-n-e. Okay. The TRIA might take a while to work fully, but honestly I'd buy it at full price for the results I see now. It stings a little when you use it. I keep it on a medium power level. Just take some ibuprofen before before you give it a go; it helps a lot. If you can wax, you can use the TRIA. Listen, this is my wonderful and coveted day off and I'm reviewing a product on amazon. Why on earth, right? I've been meaning to review this product for a while because it's helped me so much. I know there are a ton of women with the same "hair issues" as me. I know it's hard to part with almost $500 without hearing about some good results first, so here they are. If you sound like me, buy this thing. It's 100% worth it.
